Some rooms of this home have me more excited to renovate than others. It might be that our only shower is in the basement, or that only bathtub is rusty, but I am counting the days to have our primary bathroom done!
As I described in my previous blog post (linked here), we added a wall in our bedroom to create a space for the primary bathroom. The previous bathroom will be reconfigured to a laundry room and hall bath, but that will be down the road. Below is a picture of what that space looked like when we bought the house.

And here are some pictures of the space we created for the new bathroom – a blank slate!

I spent a few hours trying to come up with the best layout…I had finally perfected it and showed my husband. “I like it, but I think you can do better” he said. I hated to admit it, but he was right. I am so glad he pushed me because I think our new plan will be the best use of space! Sometimes it takes a few tries and a couple set of eyes to land where you should.

My favorite part is the bathtub that will be in front of our window. I can’t wait to have a spot to unwind and see God’s creation.
Below is the mood board for the room. Some things will be different in execution, based on budget and availability. But I always like starting with a dream board and trying to achieve that look for less. I can’t wait to see it all come together!

I will be sharing updates as we begin construction and finally start diving into this project- thank you for reading!
Your bathroom design is going to be stunning! Putting the wall up in your bedroom was such a great idea. The bathtub under the window with that view will be so relaxing and peaceful. Super excited to see the final project!

I love that Nick loves and admires you and trusts your talents so much that he said, it’s great but you can do better. ❤️ It’s going to be a perfect sanctuary. We’ll on the way already!

After looking at the original plan again, I am even more grateful that he encouraged me to try again! Really looking forward to this space.
